This agency was established as an independent state agency to evaluate and monitor how victims are treated by the criminal justice system in Connecticut. In recent years, law enforcement personnel, the courts and other public agencies have made efforts to reach out to victims of crime, explaining the process and lending support. How to File a Complaint
The CT Parent Advocacy Center is a statewide nonprofit organization that offers information and support to families of children with any disability or chronic illness, age birth through 26.
Connecticut’s probate courts handle a wide range of sensitive issues affecting children, the elderly, persons with mental retardation, and individuals with psychiatric disabilities.
The Safe at Home program is available for Connecticut residents who are or have been victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or risk of injury to a minor. If you have moved or are planning to move and want to keep your new address private, Safe at Home can help. The program provides you with a substitute address to which all your first-class mail is sent. The Office of the Secretary of the State then forwards your mail to your new actual home address.
